Dear friends and neighbors,
Welcome to our watershed. Join us as we celebrate and restore
the vibrancy and vitality of our living watershed together.

Our Watershed

Picture

The Atascadero / Green Valley Watershed is in western Sonoma County and is part of the larger Russian Russian River watershed.

Atascadero Creek flows north through western Sebastopol and Graton, and into Green Valley Creek, continuing on through Forestville and into the Russian River.

Native Americans have lived here for over 12,000 years. Coast Miwok and Southern Pomo people still live in our watershed within their ancestral territories.

As a gift for #EarthDay, the new award-winning documentary @waterislove.film is now available for FREE! "Water is Love" is a must-watch for anyone concerned about our Earth and the climate. Following a group of youth shaken by climate breakdown and outstanding projects across 3 continents, the film shows the enormous regenerative potential of local communities coming together to restore ecosystems and water cycles. It reveals a missing link in most climate conversations and empowers us to take action when governments and businesses fail to do so.

Celebrate #EarthDay by watching and sharing the film:
